Winding through the forest between Station 16 and the beach, the nature trail on Sullivan’s Island offers a wonderful way to experience the town’s diverse scenery. The trail extends more than 650 feet and features boardwalks, benches and observation areas that take visitors through the lush landscape and provide peaceful views of the maritime forest. The trail is open throughout the week during daylight hours only. From dawn to dusk, nature seekers have access to the trail that elegantly flows throughout more than 90 acres of protected land.

Funding for the $54,000 project was provided by the Greenbelt portion of the Charleston County Transportation Sales Tax and the Town of Sullivan’s Island. For those wishing to spend some time taking a stroll through nature, parking is available on the road shoulders near the trail’s entrance at Station 16.
