on March 13th, 2007 at 6:00 pmMy previous blogs discussed the issue of short term rentals in Isle of Palms. The controversial issue has a lot of proponents and opponents. So…not all are in agreement but the issue has united the Isle of Palms business community according to the Post and Courier article of March 13, 2007. According to the P&C, the Charleston Metro Chamber of Commerce recently formed a group of 8 IOP business owners who are called the “Isle of Palms Business Council.” The Council will have monthly public meetings where various topics will be discussed including property insurance, beach erosion…they house they will be a “constructive resource” to the IOP Town Council.
Members include:
Ronnie Johnson of Budiroes Music Bar & Grill, Michael Long of Wild Dunes Resort, Malcolm Burgis of Windjammer, Steve Baldrick of Tightline Construction, Wayne Moseley of IOP Red and White Supermarket, and Realtors: Frances M. Rinker, Sandy Stone and Beau Hollingsworth (chairman). The first meeting will be held April 4 at 8:30 a.m. The location will be determined.
