Sullivan's Island Recreation

Sullivan’s Island is blessed with a beautiful environment. The beach and marsh allow both residents and visitors the opportunity to swim, fish, boat, sun bathe and enjoy the natural scenery.

Beach:
The beach can be accessed via 24 of the public beach access ways.
These access ways are located on street ends and are marked. Two of the 24 access ways are handicapped accessible and seven are walkovers.

Park:
Sullivan’s Island Park ( Middle Street —in the commercial center
of town)The park has two playgrounds: one playground for children under 6 and the other for 6 and older. Amenities include volleyball and basketball courts, handball, lighted tennis courts and athletic fields including a soccer field. The historic bandstand of Fort Moultrie
provides shade for picnics and is also used by entertainers when there is a community event.
